What a fantastic week we have just had at Seashells. The communication with Liz before our stay was excellent and she made sure that we had all of the information we needed so that we arrived relaxed and ready for the week. Seashells is a lovely cottage, impeccably clean and well set out with everything you could need and more. We had fantastic weather and made most of our days visiting the local area and even managing a trip to the Scilly Isles. Enjoyed morning coffee and pastries at the Ferryboat Inn. Will definitely be booking Seashells again. We can 100% recommend the accommodation, the local area and Liz for her friendly interactions. 17-24 May 2024
Hi Liz
We had a great time. The cottage was lovely and we really enjoyed the area. We did various long walks and visited many gardens. We took the Ferry from Falmouth a couple of times. And drove to Portcurno and the Eden project. Lots to do in the area.
Thanks,
Marlies
We had a lovely week at Seashells. The location of the cottage is excellent, as it is a hundred metres from Helford Passage, with the ferry across to Helford, and by the waterside the very good meals at the Ferryboat Inn. This cottage provides for a relaxing and beautiful stay. Seashells cottage is a lovely modern cottage, comfortable, clean and well equipped. Information provided ensures your stay is easy and you can focus on visiting the beautiful gardens of Trebah and Glendurgan, less than a mile away, as well as walk the coast path in both directions without getting into a car. There is plenty to explore further afield and locally, with beautiful countryside and coves to provide for your relaxation. And then of course, there’s swimming, paddle boarding and messing about in boats. A very special place.
Fantastic long weekend with welcome sunny weather. Walked to Glendurgan and around Penrose to Loe Bar. Lovely meal at the pub and a great pasty from Tim in Helston (although it was incredibly peppery) Looking forward to the next visit to Helford Passage.
Possibly the loveliest weather for an October weekend in Cornwall in possibly the loveliest bolthole in Helford Passage! Thank you Liz . We have had a well deserved and much needed rest full of food, wine, sunshine, laughter and fabulous paddle boarding. Can't wait to do it all again
We've had a fabulous time at Seashells. The weather has been fantastic which certainly helped. So much to see and do within 45 mins drive. Will certainly be returning. Many thanks
It's been about 30 years since I last stayed in Helford Passage, and it's like coming home. All the same faces on the beach!. My daughter has loved staying here so much she doesn't want to leave and I think this place has touched her heart. Thank you for letting us stay in your wonderful, warm and welcoming p[lace. We hope to be back sometime soon!
We have had the most wonderful spell of hot, sunny weather for the past 10 days, we have hardly moved from the beach. Seashells has been perfect for us again, such a lovely home for the holidays. The Ferryboat Inn has been extremely busy but continues to deliver excellent food - they did 725 covers the other day! cWe've had beach BBQs, picnics, booze cruises and just enjoyed doing nothing. We'll be back next year of course!
We had such a lovely time at Seashells, the weather yesterday was glorious, swimming, kayaking, stand up paddle board, supper at The Ferryboat and a sleepover for Pearl, out granddaughter.
Thank you for such a perfect cottage for our stay.
Sheila & Chris.
Clean, fresh, well equipped property with good bathroom facilities. A super large comfortable bed with quality bed linen. Very well located, a short, downhill walk to the river, pub and ferry. The swimming pool access was a real bonus during a scorching week and we enjoyed easy access to nearby gardens and beaches, especially Maenporth.

My wife and I had a lovely time last Easter week which started with a weekend heatwave.
The cottage is great. Everything you could possibly need has been included and all at a good standard.
Helford Passage is a great location and was ideal for us for walking around the coast.
I would certainly recommend Seashells Cottage and couldn't fault the accommodation or service from owner.

From start to finish communication with Liz was excellent and Seashells more than lived up to our expectations. A lovely cottage which has been refurbished to a very high standard, Seashells has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. This was our first visit to Helford Passage and won't be the last; Seashells is close to the river and provides an ideal base to explore the area by foot or car - my favourite walk being the short one down to The Ferry Boat Inn! Highly recommended, we didn't want to leave Seashells and look forward to returning at some point in the future,

Great cottage in Helford Passage
Left on Apr 10, 2018 for a stay in May 2018
We had an excellent stay at Seashells Cottage at the start of April. The cottage is perfectly equipped with everything we needed for our stay there: washing machine & tumble drier; hairdryer; dishwasher; plenty of crockery and glasses. It was lovely to use the log burner in the evenings and eat breakfast outside on the patio with the friendly little robin visiting us. The bed is huge and very comfortable. The cottage is fantastically located for walking on the Southwest Coast Path as well as lots of other walks in the local area. We also took our SUPs and were able to walk them down to the river for a paddle (30 second walk). Thanks to Liz for the wonderful cottage.

Wow, what a fantastic place. We will definitely be returning. Very well appointed and fantastic location, you couldnt ask for more. Owners were incredibly helpful when we struggled with the lock (our fault in the end !) and even left us a welcome pack. Thank you for making our stay so splendid.
Beautiful, well planned out, stunning little cottage. Includes all you will need for your stay. Very cozy, close to the river front and a very short walk to a lovely pub.
This is a lovely property in a beautiful location. The cottage is beautifully presented and clean with all you need and a lovely welcome pack from the owner. It is positioned just a short walk from the unspoilt beach which is ideal for sailing and other water sports. There are lovely walks and gardens to visit nearby and you can cross the river on the Ferry to visit Helford.
An idyllic location just a short stroll from the river bank, SW coast path and the ferry crossing to Helford. Seashells is equipped with everything we needed, is just a few steps to the pub, has easy parking and we were blessed with perfect weather for October to get out and about and take in the scenery. We would definitely return.
Seashells is the perfect accommodation for a couple or a singleton - Liz has obviously put a great deal of effort in designing and creating such a lovely property in which to spend a holiday . It is well designed and very well equipped and I loved everything about the property it was definitely my sort of place and I have already booked again for 2017, so thank you Liz .

We have just had yet another wonderful weeks stay at Seashells. It was our fourth year staying at the cottage although we have been coming down to Helford Passage for nearly twenty years now with a large group of friends and family. Seashells is a delightful cottage which was completely refurbished a few years ago to provide exceptional accommodation in a very modern style and with a definite 'wow factor'. It is open plan living with with space over the sitting area and kitchen area reaching right to the apex of the roof giving it a really spacious and light feel. The kitchen is modern and well equipped with washer/dryer, fridge, freezer etc and the bedroom has a wonderful super king size bed. There is a parking space adjacent to the property so very easy parking and the fenced terrace outside provides sun all day. It is the perfect place for the two of us as we can enjoy a bit of peace away from the rest of the group but still be just a stones throw from them, the beach and the wonderful beach front pub - The Ferry Boat Inn. Roll on next year as we are about to book again.
My husband and I had a wonderful week at the end of May staying at Seashells Cottage and taking every advantage of its fabulous location to explore Helford Passage and the surrounding countryside. We found the cottage to be everything we had hoped it would be - spotlessly clean and tidy, well equipped with extremely comfortable and attractive furnishings and a lovely haven to return to at the end of a busy day out and about. Our communication with Liz from our first contact was warm and welcoming and we appreciated all the local knowledge she gave us to ensure we got the most out of our stay in Cornwall. We thought it a lovely touch to find a bottle of wine, tea and coffee and fresh milk waiting for us on our arrival. Very welcome after a long drive from London! Its location just a stone's throw from the ferry landing at Helford Passage is fabulous. We would take our coffee down to the harbour every morning and watch the boats coming in and out and chat away to the friendly locals. The coastal path which takes you all the way to Falmouth is a great way to explore the enchanting hamlets and bays and the views are quite fabulous. There are so many walks and gardens and villages to explore in close proximity to Seashells that we could easily have stayed longer. We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Seashells Cottage and can not recommend it highly enough.
