About Us
We purchased Seashells Cottage in 2016 and have been renting it out regularly ever since. Our goal is to share the beauty of Helford Passage and allow others to enjoy it as much as we do.
We visit as often as we can throughout the year—winter is perfect for long walks, while summer means time spent on the beach, by the pool, or out on the water.
Our first stop when we arrive is always the beach, followed by a glass of wine at the Ferryboat Inn. The next day, it's straight into our walking boots to explore the nearby coastal path, just steps from the door. Sometimes, we'll take the ferry to Helford village for more scenic walks, or hop on a boat to explore the tranquil creeks of Helford River.
With its south-facing terrace, we dine outside whenever the weather allows. But in the winter, after a brisk walk, we love curling up by the log fire and watching a movie on Netflix.
One of the best things about the location is how many activities are just a short stroll away—no need to drive!
From the Helford River (www.helford-river-boats.co.uk), to the beautiful National Trust gardens of Glendurgan and Trebah, and the welcoming Ferryboat Inn, everything you need is right on your doorstep. Plus, the South West Coast Path offers endless opportunities for exploration.
We even have our groceries delivered from Sainsbury’s—most supermarkets deliver to the area.
A short drive brings you to the stunning Kynance Cove, where the National Trust café serves delicious food. And, in the summer, a visit to the Minack Theatre for a memorable performance is a must.
Golf lovers will enjoy nearby Budock Vean Hotel, just a 15-minute walk from Seashells Cottage. For an extra treat, the hotel’s spa is perfect for some pampering.
